An ex-Kenya friend of my husband said this recently.
It's true. In spite of all the negatives described in the blog, this pretty much sums it up.

I'd broaden it a bit - you do want to leave eventually. But you have to come back.

ReplyDeleteIn 1980 i arrived in Kenya at the age of 20, i then stayed in East Africa for another 27 years until 2007, despite all that is said about the problems of Africa, they were the best years of my life, you only realise this when you have left.
