Marende voted in as Speaker
Hooray - Marende was voted in as speaker with 105 vote to 101 for Kaparo on the third round of voting. It was an extremely close run thing throughout. Surely this small victory should appease ODM and any potential protesters tomorrow or later in the week.
To march is every citizens right but at the moment, its the last thing on my mind. I'd rather march to the show grounds in nairobi or to any refugee camp and give any assistance to the displaced people. These marches ain't gonna yield anything - thats my take. Where are these ODMs and PNU children? - I guess somewhere in the US, Europe, Australia or New zealand and guess what? they are back to school out there while the poor are suffering somewhere in some camps. What a cruel and sad world we live in cos in most cases, its always the poor who suffer.
